So then if you're only locking the wheels to the CV and have to rotate regardless, would the slip or resistance be governed by how much the front diff gives out to the axle?

Another mod I was thinking about is a switch that can cut my ABS on and off, too. Is this mod similar to that of an 05 Taco? Reason I'm asking is my cousin did this mod and I liked the outcome.

Not sure what size the diff is. I know it's factory with the V-6 engine. Is there a mod for a 4Runner as old as mine(88) where I can switch rear lock on and off, too?

I have an 88 4Runner and want to do some modifications. The first one that came to mind was a rear locking differential. Are there any modifications out there for this idea or any of number processes I would have to go through? Any help on this subject is welcomed.

its an 88. ive already taken the wiper off and ran it for a while and it still didnt fix the problem. can a motor go out even if it rolls the window up and down at normal to quick speeds? usually you can tell when a motor is going out when the window rolls down slowly, right?

also, the rear door light comes on next to the rpm gauge. only when going down hill. when going up hill it shuts off. anything wierd about that?

Sorry, i havnt been able to do anything for a week! busy. anyways, to answer your question, no. the key does not roll the window down, and the light for the switch isnt on. the light worked all the way up until the window stopped working.

I just tried what you requested and that didnt work. I know its not the fuse cause that also powers the driver and passenger window. Whats step two?

I don't know what could be causing the problem. Within thirty seconds I rolled the window up with me key and hopped in and cranked up the truck. I pushed my button to roll the window down and nothing is happening. The key wont even roll it down. There is no noise, so I am certain it cant be...
