okay. but what I don't get is why it sounded funny when I was accelerating

so i had my 91 4runner sr5 4wd 5 speed in 4wd. i went in some deep water and when i came out i took it out of 4wd and it kept stalling. i let it dried off a bit and when i drove off it had almost no power at first. then it began to sound funny when i started off and in 2nd gear. still little...

and after doing the search for "add hubs converted to manual hubs" the only post that comes up is this one.

okay so i have the add 4wd system. which means the hubs are always locked. which i thought was automatic locking hubs. if i want manual locking hubs and i have the add system can i just swap out the hubs? or is there more to it than just that? thanks. and fourwd1 isnt the point of this forum...

is there any part of the automatic locking hubs that i need to remove? besides the hub its self?

yeah have not gotten around to buying the ome ones just yet.

the shocks are stock so it's making me think it's them

the coils have been on for months now. it sat evenly untill the other day. the torsion bars arnt turned up they are new ome torsion bars

ome springs and torsion bars. on 35's

I have a 91 4runner. ome springs in the rear and ome torsion bars in the front. I just did the torsion bars the other day. I was walking up to the truck today and noticed the left rear is sitting a little lower than the right rear of the truck. could this have anything to do with the torsion...
