manual locking hub swap?

You need manual locking hubs. That is it. Everything should bolt on the same if you have the right hubs.
 
Did you try searching? This comes up all the time.
And are you sure you have auto hubs? a 91 shouldn't, it should have the ADD 4WD system, which doesn't use hubs. Need more info on the ADD system? there's plenty of posts on that also.
 
And remember, like I said in the attached thread, the splines of your axle and the manual hubs MAY NOT always line up correctly! I ran into this problem before.
 
okay so i have the add 4wd system. which means the hubs are always locked. which i thought was automatic locking hubs. if i want manual locking hubs and i have the add system can i just swap out the hubs? or is there more to it than just that?

and fourwd1 isnt the point of this forum to ask questions if you are not sure about something? yeah i can search this but if im looking for a specific answer why would i waste my time when i can just post a thread and someone that knows about it can give me the answer i am looking for.

Not to be the a-hole but honestly its been discussed many many times already. And fourwd has probably explained it many many times...if u search you'll find the answer wand you'll learn more as you read along vs just finding what ur asking for
 
You do realize that this isn't the only forum dedicated to "Toyota's" and for most common questions you'll find the answer on Google...

Just trynna help you out, I gave u some info so instead of crying about where you searched blah blah blah get to reading...

Because it wastes everybody else's time answering questions that have already been answered 50 times?

If you want to post questions like this, that's fine, but don't get your back up when folks just direct you threads that already have the answers you want. Google is your friend, man.

This may help you in the future - most forum search functions suck sweaty hairy goat balls. Go to google, and enter "site:[insert site URL here]" and then your search terms. For example, if you wanted to search this site for info on a manual hub swap, you'd enter "site:www.toyota-4runner.org manual hub swap", and you'd get this. If you wanted to search Yotatech for the same info, you'd replace "www.toyota-4runner.org" with "www.yotatech.com". Makes searching much easier. Hope this helps!

I'm in the same boat as the OP.

I have a 93' SR5 with IFS. I'm about to replace my front rotors and decided to change to manual hubs since I have to disassemble the hub. I have the same questions and concerns as the OP.

I would suggest someone make a sticky, if this seems to be a commonly requested topic. Basically make it easier for us Newbies to find.

Asking for help is what this place is all about, but that doesn't mean you can't do a little homework yourself first.
