Miss read your response. I definitely put rtv on the coupler! I didn't put rtv on the mating surface. I'll get to dropping it and sealing it soon. Crazy bearing noise in the reduction box I should have changed them of well it's a bush truck
So did I **** up? Welding up the crossmember I noticed some fluid dripping. I didn't seal between the trans and tcase adaptor because there shouldn't be any fluid tranfer there right? But now I have a leak.
Was I supposed to rtv between the trans adapter and the transmission?
I started a thread but not really a build thread. I'm a horrible person and don't go on forums enough. I should have posted my build more. I plan to be doing a thread when I sas with the dana 60 and sterling 10.5 I have sitting in my back yard though!
Some pregresss today only one more bend...
Getting closer. Dropped off my driveshafts and it was done in less than 24 hrs. So those are in. Gotta make the crossmember, drain and fill the cases, and do the in cab stuff like shifters (which I'm dreading)
Thanks! That's what I needed. I bent the Lower part already. Closer to fitting it'll fit after I cut the 3 rear shifters down I think I'll make them all even.
Soooo many shifter clearance issues. Thought the short shifter was going to help out but nope. Looks like I'll be bending the trans shifter and front reduction box shifter and cutting down the two rad design shifters.
That's funny I was thinking of doing the same. But cut up my parts 4runner and use the full cross member.
Do you have pictures of you're floor board? Did you do triple sticks?
I'll measure them up again to make sure.
I'm getting them made at a local driveshsft shop. Coast power terrain.
I have the 4xinnovation heavy duty mount but looks like I'll be making a new cross member or buy the fror one.
Went to play with the shifters. But I won't be there anytime soon...
Honestly I was thinking that I have access to an air die grinder I was going to do that but hesitant. Guess I'll be going that! Haha Thanks for the reassurance!
