I don't see it that way... I've had this thing since it was new. I've got 298k on it and still going strong. I have done a lot of work over that past couple of years redoing stuff but what do you expect for a 22 year old vehicle. I wanted a 5spd when I got this one but could never find one. Now...

My main concern is will I be able to use the pedal assembly and all that stuff since my donor is a first gen and I'm putting this in a second gen. Other stuff to think about is also the cross member and drive shaft

Transfer changes Both are 3.0 V-6 models. Will I need to change the ECM also ? I have access to all parts from both vehicles

I have a 92 runner with an automatic transmission that is giving me trouble. I also have access to an 89 runner with a 5spd that I can get all the parts to swap over. My question is will all the hardware such as pedal assembly, slave and master cylinders, crossmemebrs work on my 92 ?

Gears Wow, lots of advise. My runner came factory with 31's and I'm running 32's now and I can tell the difference. If I'm going to regear I'm going on up to 33's. Sounds like 5.29's might be the ticket.

Solenoids Mine worked great, no issues at all. I had gotten to the point where I had to manual shift 100% of the time and the converter wouldn't lock up either. I'm running 32-11.50 BFG's and now at 70 mph the tach says 2550 rpm which before it was almost 3300 rpm...better gas mileage here I...

Shift Solenoids Replaced the Solenoids in my 92 today. I got my kit from Axiom Technologies and they give you the brackets for early and late model valve bodies. Real simple change out.

I have a 92 4runner with an 3.0 and an automatic transmission. I have a donor 89 4runner 3.0 with a manual tarnsmission. I woulds like to put the manual in my 92...Am I asking for trouble ? Is there anything I should be looking for or is this a staright up swap ? let me hear your opinions please.
