Moving from 4th gen to 2023 5th gen... questions about accessories!

Hey everyone, Ive been a longtime lurker of this forum but finally bit the bullet and got a 2023 5th gen and now I have some questions. I have a KING lift kit installed in my 2007 4th gen as well as quite some more goodies. I wanted to tap some forum knowledge regarding suspension...

    King 2.5 w/remote reservoir

Just a quick update, I finally got around to removing the Airlift 1000 on my rear Toytec springs and you can definitely feel the difference. Although they were deflated (2PSI) I felt the difference right away once I removed them. THe concept of having that possibility for added weight once in a...

Hey Wozzy, Agreed, hate runing these E rated tires higher than 35... i actually use them closer to 30PSI. Thanks for the feedback and calculations!

    King 2.5 w/remote reservoir

Quick update, I bought the Durabumps and am patiently waiting for their arrival (there's a longer than normal lead time). Also, I think I figured out what was rubbing in the previous pic. Unfortunately it was the tube that connects the ext reservoir to the shock. There is some wear and...

Apparently it does line up with the UCA, so Im looking into spacers... I'm wondering why with the stock UCAs and the same tires I didnt get that effect. Does everyone have to run spacers with aftermarket UCAs? They don't sell the dust covers for the uniball Camburgs, I've read quite a bit and...

    King 2.5 w/remote reservoir

Update: Shop just sent me a couple pics. Not the best but here they go! Anyone have any tips as to how to save the ubiballs on the UCAs? Can I swap them out for any other sort of system without having to exchange everything? Thanks for the help!

    King 2.5 w/remote reservoir

Thats pretty impressive... I might just might the bullet... never thought bumpstops would be so important in the setup. Getting the rig checked out right now, I have some rubbing issues on the inside of the wheel, going to get camber checked out tomorrow.See pic: *BFG KO2s in 265/70R17...

Interesting... I had read about it but I'm not sure if that is my case. What springs are you running? Do you have adjusters? Those might be a happy medium vs the King Bumpstops which are another investment in themselves LOL. Thanks for the feedback.

Stock form for now. I have the Firestone Airbags at some 5psi but honestly haven't felt even close to bottoming out or needing hydraulic bumpstops... that's part of what I feel is a bit harsher than I feel it should be. I don't feel I'm getting much travel within the whole system...

Ill definitely check that out. After a few days with the new setup... I can definitely say the car is much more controlled. Im sure I can go quite a bit faster on the dirt roads and have never had it bounce to the point where I lose control. Rig seems quite a bit more composed and it definitely...

Thanks for the feedback, looks like you went through quite a bit of setups as well so your advice will be taken seriously!

Thanks for the reply, definitely going to check on the actual springs to see if I have the 600 or 550... even though the invoice stated 600. Why do you state the Camburg UCAs are not helping the ride quality? I went with the bolt on package that was offered by wheelers off road without much...

    King 2.5 w/remote reservoir

Hey everyone, I searched all over the place and didn't find much in the way of a "review" or a "first impressions" for this kind of setup so here it goes. Came from a Bilstein 5100 setup with OMEs up front and Toytec Superlifts in the back. I also have the firestone airbags in the rears...

    Not liking my Alpine ilx650

Hey Monty, I have that same head unit and had that same issue. Try updating firmware and software from phone and head unit as that helped me with the static calls. Hope that helps

    Questions about Lighting and Locks

Possibly a wiring issue, but I honestly wouldnt know where to start. It makes sense that they are BI XENON they will turn on when I flash my high beams... I just figured it could have something to do with the battery draining issue. What leaves me puzzled is basically the fact that sometimes...
