Anyone have any tips as to how to save the ubiballs on the UCAs? Can I swap them out for any other sort of system without having to exchange everything?

I recommend spidertrax spacers or new set of wheels with different offset.

The rub mark seems to line up with the UCA. Don’t they sell dust covers for the top of the UCA for the Camburgs?

Apparently it does line up with the UCA, so Im looking into spacers... I'm wondering why with the stock UCAs and the same tires I didnt get that effect. Does everyone have to run spacers with aftermarket UCAs?

Yeah, same thing happened to me. Either spacers with stock wheels or new wheels with different offset.

You can buy a set of spidertrax spacers if you can’t do wheels right away. Keep an eye on the classifieds here and at tacomaworld for a used set.

For the uniball as long as you keep them greased should be fine. I think the recommendation on these is triflow every oil change or so, or when they start squeaking.

Quick update,

I bought the Durabumps and am patiently waiting for their arrival (there's a longer than normal lead time).

Also, I think I figured out what was rubbing in the previous pic. Unfortunately it was the tube that connects the ext reservoir to the shock. There is some wear and clearly I want to work on replacing that. See pic below:

Any suggestions as to how to proceed on replacing that?

With that pic, I think I realized the front springs are 550... you can sort of tell on the pic, right? Also, does anyone have any experience in adding the adjusters to the remote reservoirs on these king shocks? I bought the rears with no adjustments as the lead time was crazy and these were in stock.

What tire pressure are you running? That may be effecting the comfort. For some reason, shops will air you way up since it's E rated tire on a "light" SUV.

I found this formla on another forum and seems to work well:

GVW (4th gen is ~5580) / 4 (4 tires) = 1395

1395 (from the above) / Max load of tire (3195 for your E load KO2) = 44% rounded

44% * Max PSI of tire (80) = 35 PSI

Personally, I like to go down a few PSI to adjust for some comfort.

Agreed, hate runing these E rated tires higher than 35... i actually use them closer to 30PSI. Thanks for the feedback and calculations!

I believe ICON's Delta Joint is a replacement for these uniballs. I am looking at doing the same with my Camburgs on my Tundra. They are sealed and greasable. See link.

As far as what to use for the Uniballs as mentioned prior you can use triflow or you can use CRC PTFE Lubricant. The latter is what I use and you just spray a bunch of it on the top of the ball and let it soak in. Here is a link.

Just a quick update, I finally got around to removing the Airlift 1000 on my rear Toytec springs and you can definitely feel the difference. Although they were deflated (2PSI) I felt the difference right away once I removed them. THe concept of having that possibility for added weight once in a while is interesting but the reality is the cons outweigh the pros for my application. I inflated the airbags some 4 times in the 5 years they were installed...

I also added the Durobump rear bumpstops and will be trying them out this weekend, sure hope they make a big difference! As always thanks for the help! I will update this thread as soon as possible hopefully with positive feedback!

You’re gonna feel a difference, they’re very noticeable off-road. I love mine!
