Brand new fuel pump, bad sender

Hey I had problems with my fuel gauge reading improperly last year, 04 V6. I replaced the gas cap and interestingly, it corrected the problem until the past week. So I thought it might be the fuel sender, but when I went to my mechanic (very honest), said he'd hate to see me replace the sender...

Yeah I'm finicky too and hate that I am sometimes. That's a lot of work and above my brain capacity.? I'll just have to live with the flashing light. The light itself doesn't bother me, I'm only concerned about slow leaks. I've have several over the years ... typical nails from all the...

(4th Gen) Fuel Gauge Reading Empty with Full Tank

Curious your thoughts on the solution I discovered for the gas gauge now wokring. I had the same problem with my gas gauge 2 years ago, not reflecting the actual amount of gas in the tank. So I kept track of the miles after filling up for a while. Did a little research and came across a post...

Nice, so you have highlights & lowlights. You know, I have to pay a lot of money for that..?. Thanks for the advice but would really like to have the Denso TPMS. Is this the tool you bought, Autel MaxiTPMS TS501 Pro, Activate all known OEM/Universal T? If not, what exactly do you have so I...

Leaky head gasket at cylinder 5. Is this common?

I don't think your generation is prone to HG problems. With my generation, 4th, there are two cylinders that go and five is one of them. I can't believe you only got 30k out of current one. I'm sure others that know more will chime in.

Leaky head gasket at cylinder 5. Is this common?

Yeah with certain generation and model. What do you have; are you not the original owner? That looks like green coolant and as far as I know, the coolant for the these vehicles is either red or pink.

Sorry, I misundertsood your post; I'm a little ditzy sometimes:doh:. So the programming tool is required, correct and only the dealerships have it or I would have to buy it to have my mechanic program the sensor with the ECU or ECR? Are ECR, ECM and ECU all the same part? I'm not even blonde...

Pink Fluid Leak Near Rear Passenger Wheel

I bought the ATF on Amazon and when I added to cart said Amazon was buyer and seller. Looked at label and it was from a company called Fleet Services. I think I might return it since I am able to get it from a dealer, just a little further away from me, but don't mind. I'm totally clueless...

    200k Transmission Flush

On my 04 V6 I had my mechanic do two drain and fills on the tranny in 2022. It took a total of 6 quarts (3 quarts each visit). Guess only 3 quarts drained each time. Anywho, was going over all my maintenance history and remembered the tranny takes 12 to 13 quarts, so I am going to do two...

Have you had problems finding the ATF T-IV? The dealers near me don't stock it and not sure if they're going to get anymore in, so I bought some on Amazon.

On the sensors, do I need to buy two service kits for 5 tires., it says quantify 4 for one kit .Also, is there a way to deactivate the sensor for the spare tire that will allow the tpms system to work properly? I recall a few times the light would go on b/c the spare needed more air.
