    Anyone from GTA

I've had my 4th gen for many years. If you live in Canada, you will be happier with the 4WD version. Don't over look the V8's. The difference in gas mileage is very small and the v8's have more power and towing capability. They also have full time 4WD so this acts like AWD when not locked. When...

    BFG KO2’s

That drop in mileage is what I measured on my 3rd gen. I didnt care since the traction was so much better. It actually saved me on gas because I didnt have to put it in 4wd. I really havent measured with the V8.

    BFG KO2’s

I'm on my 3rd set. Had two sets on my 3rd gen and now first set on my 4th gen. I love these tires and they wear great. Expect 100k miles. Rotate often to keep them driving smoothly. They are harder on gas though, may 3 or 4 MPG worse than the Michelins that were on before. But traction is way...

How Much Did You Pay For Timing Belt Service?

Similar pricing up here in canada after exchange. Just had mine done a couple of weeks ago, not at the dealership. It was just over $1000 CDN. But other things were wrong when they started, Rad was leaking and the exposed transmission lines were rotting out. I also wanted plugs changed since I...

How To: Make Your Own Rear O2 Simulator for $5

I dont remember them being that far back. I think they were closer to the front of the cabin by your legs. Mine were pretty easy to see. I used ty wraps to secure the extra cables on the harness so they didnt hang down.

I got the codes after putting on the headers too. It might be related to flow. URD definitely mentions this as a result of headers. I tried to make my own circuit, but that ended up causing other codes. I eventually bought the URD and the codes went away. Since then, I have found some adapters...

You have to cut the cats off the stock manifold and weld them onto the headers. Its a bit tricky as the flanges need to be set right. I screwed one up on mine and ended up cutting the opposite flange off and rewelding it rather than removing the headers. I also polished the cats before...

    4th gen rear rotor problem

Well, I got if off with a lot of hammering. I crawled underneath to get more force on hammering. I also had the holes threaded with a bolt so that when I hit the one side which is open due to the caliper being off, it wouldn't twist and stay on. So I banged and banged, then adjusted the bolt...

    4th gen rear rotor problem

I need some help on my 2006. One of the retaining clips on the rear parking brake has broken and I cannot get the rotor off to fix them. I removed the console to release the tension on the cable but that did not help. I have been banging, using a crowbar all afternoon and it just wont come off...

Average header install cost? 4.7 V8

I was charged 16 hours labour. with taxes came to about $1800 CDN funds or $1365 USD. They said it was a real pain and hardly any room to work. I paid an additional $75 CDN to have the cats cut off, polished and welded on.

What is Your Factory Rake & Wheel Spacer Question

I am considering the Bilstein 5100/ Daystar 1.5 rear spacer kit lift for my 2006 V8 Ltd. The XREAS are too soft and I am bouncing all over the place. The air bag has already been removed and replaced with rear coils. However, when I measure the rake now, my rear fenders seem to have about 6" of...

I looked extensively and only found the DT's. It's a very tight fit but they work great. I felt a difference immediately and they sound great with the new cat back.
