Thanks. I was worried that if it were an LED backlight it could indicate a problem with the circuit board itself. A flickering bulb is much easier to replace. :)

Hi. A few days ago i noticed the left half of the center console LCD (the one that shows temperature, MPG, etc) on my '06 4Runner dims periodically. Does anybody know if this LCD is backlit by bulbs or by LEDs?

Neither. I replaced the plastic footrest when I was finished. Had to unscrew the clips a bit and mashed down with my foot. Took a few tries but it finally snapped back in place. BTW, for floormats, I use cheap outdoor carpeting from Lowe's instead of messing up the expensive factory mats...
