Bump. Any suggestions for a shop in north FL?

Does the KDSS make the install any different than with the normal Sr5 suspension setup? I'm wondering if any shops will balk when they see the KDSS when I get around to getting the 5100s.

Exactly the look/ride improvement I'm looking for on my 2017. Does yours have KDSS, and did you do the install yourself?

I know this thread is old, but I have a similar question regarding getting suspension work done on a KDSS equipped 4runner in the TLH/panhandle area. Probably just a mild 2" lift (Dobinsons shocks + springs, or 5100's + springs.) There are a couple off-road shops locally, but they seem very Jeep...

Anyone have these in stock size, E load? How much heavier are they than the p-metric SL tire?

I've had stock size C-load K02s on my 4runner for a year and a half, and have experienced none of these problems in rain. I live in Florida, and we get HEAVY rain frequently during the summer.

I should have gotten rid of the crappy stock Dunlops day 1, instead of 6 months in. K02's are a huge improvement in grip on and offorad, although they're a bit heavier. Next up is Bilstein 5100s. I cannot stand the factory rake, and the nosedive under braking. Just feels unnecessarily sloppy.

I ordered this on ebay for $29. We shall see if it's real or fake...

If they go with unibody w/Independent suspension like the RAV4, 5th gens will increase in value.

Would swapping out springs alone (Dobinsons 238 & 599) front and rear for a mild lift affect ride much? or would shocks (5100s) also be necessary to increase firmness/reduce nose dive under braking? I don't mind a bit of rake since I'll be towing a fishing boat a few times a month.

The fact that you had to point out very specific, atypical scenarios where skinnier tires benefit proves my point. Generally, wider tires are better for performance on AND off road. According to your logic,Maybe you should try some 205 section tires. Clearly, 255's are WAY too wide, and 205's...

A wider tire is better for on AND off-road performance. If Rolling resistance/fuel economy is a concern, why not just buy a Prius instead? You might save 1 mpg total by using skinnier tires.
