I'm not sure if im miss understanding or if im not explaining it correctly. im looking to make it 100% manual with out and actuators, servos, solenoids. Im looking for a direct shift linkage like in an xj. I dont care if the lights on the dash work cause i know its in because its manual. Again...
I fixed mine by removing the solenoid and cleaning it, its all good now. I thought you had done a full swap to 4wd jshifter. I'm trying to figure out all the options while its not broken. I always feel like its better to replace parts when you want to rather then need to.
Thats what im looking for i want to eliminate the awd and just strictly have 4wd with j shifter. But i want to know the process of wiring or if its been done before.
thank you
I took the T-Case solenoid off MAF cleaned it check for continuity and bam it worked but to answer some of the negative comments. I'm looking to swap them because I'm tired of having to be moving to engage awd. Maybe mine is messed up but I want to engage it when Iwant to engage it lol is that...
I need to know what craftiness My actuator is stuck i have the flashing lights on my 01 and i cant get it off ( pause lol) so im seriously considering swapping to a j shift but need to understand the scope of wiring work.
as well what drive shafts did you use?
i can get a differential on a free parts day for $50 bucks at my local wreckers. its almost 50 for the fluid so no the best deal isnt.... because before that breaks i would have replaced more then difference in cost in switching fluids
probably about 3 months after doing my lift I starting getting some squeaking from my upper control arm bushings on the driver side. I installed a diff 1 inch diff drop greased around the bushing daily for three days. That noise went away but I also noticed that my Steering rack started...
Hey i've got a question about the diff fluid. What effect will it have on the transfer case and front differentials if you put 80w90 instead of 75W90. I know the rear takes 80W90 which is whats confusing me. ... btw i have a 2001. The reason for the question is cost 75W90 where I live
I'm...
multiple reasons really.... first being i have a 96 bumper in my garage from a free parts day at a salvage yard. second I want a low profile front end improving my approach angle and the 96 does that. third shrock base price is $1079 USD not shipped or any features ...thats a more then half of...
I've seen threads all over the map covering a 1996 to 2001 (jay leno front nose) swap but i can't find any threads with pictures or descriptions on a 01 to 96 front bumper swap. What issues I might run into or is it a direct fit.
So if you know of one or care to share your experience please do...
