Front bumper swap From 01 to 96

I've seen threads all over the map covering a 1996 to 2001 (jay leno front nose) swap but i can't find any threads with pictures or descriptions on a 01 to 96 front bumper swap. What issues I might run into or is it a direct fit.

So if you know of one or care to share your experience please do.

Is that what you're looking to do? Put a fat lip on a non fat lip vehicle? OR put a 96-98 bumper on a 99+?

I'm just guessing here..but probably something to do with the $1,000 difference in price.

multiple reasons really.... first being i have a 96 bumper in my garage from a free parts day at a salvage yard. second I want a low profile front end improving my approach angle and the 96 does that. third shrock base price is $1079 USD not shipped or any features ...thats a more then half of the price i paid for my rig. not fiscally responsible i could build one for more then half that cost at a later date if i wanted to.

so for those reasons im out (lol shark tank reference)

Lol I like the reference. Too bad used ones are hard to come by. The approach angle on the early 3rd gens is great for stock idk why they ruined it. The reason I like shrock is if I can get my front up without funky angles then my rear is good too. Clears LCA and all so thats my preference. Plus it has recovery and winch accessibility. But I don't DD mine and wheel it weekly so our needs may be very different.

Well not a full grand but probably $800 yeah. Depends on what the needs are from the driver. I get more than $800 in value from mine.

96-98 bumper on a 99+ thank you for you help
