If your still wondering... Just in case your still looking for an answer, the transfer case do not share fluid with the transmission. On your transfer case, there is a small drain plug on the bottom and a big fill bolt a few inches above that. To drain and fill it just remove the drain plug...

Seafoam I've tried Seafoam too, it made the 4r run better but didint fix my light. After reseting the light multiple times, it never fail to come back on at about 75 miles. Waiting for the new valve and temp sensor to come in, hopfully it will fix this problem. I would just ignore the light...

Code 71 EGR I got the same code and I can't get it to go away. I tried everything to avoid spending money on new parts but I finally ordered a new egr valve and temp sensor. I already replaced the modulator with a new one and all the vacuum lines in the egr system. I replaced the vsv as well...

Is the torque converter bolted to the flex plate? I can see bolt holes on my new torque converter... if so, is it hard to remove?

alright so 5.29 is best for 33" tires just to clear things up. And also im gonna need a lift kit. I was thinking the rough country 5" lift? You guys hear anything about that kit? For about $800 I don't think thats a bad deal...

Anyone have experience removing and re-installing an automatic transmission? I Was going to have a shop rebuild my transmission but I found a low millage used replacement for only $350 so I need some tips on how to remove the old transmission. I also got a rebuilt torque converter to go along...

quick search so I did a quick search. Is 4.56 good for at least 33" tires? Also is there a kit I can buy to do it myself?

I'm considering having my A340H transmission rebuild and it's gonna run me about $1600 with transfer case. I wanna put 33" tires or bigger if it don't harm the transmission too bad. What do I have to do to the transmission in order for it to handle safely with heavier tires?

synthetic or reg Would a synthetic AT fluid help keep the transfer case a little cooler, or should I stick with reg old Dex II?

Thanks for the quick reply Yes it's an auto, and thanks for clearing it up. I was worried that the shop my dad took it to might have put the wrong fluid it it. Now I feel a little better. I can't seem to find Dextron II anywhere.
