SOLD. Thanks to all.
I have my 97 3rd Gen 4runner 4x4 up for sale in Richmond, KY. Looking to sell it whole not wanting to part out. It had the notorious ball joint failure about 3 weeks ago. Luckily we had been stopped at a traffic light and went about 100 feet before the left front...
WOW, sorry I haven't checked in here for quite awhile. I used automotive paint, hardener and thinner and paint gun. I painted everything at one time to make it easier while mixing up the paint.
My 97 4R runs awesome for the 260,000 miles that are on it. It starts relatively easy and when warm idles right around 600 to 700 RPM's. I have not noticed any missing or anything else that would hint at a problem and no CEL's. The issue I have had, has happened a couple of times since back...
Most everyone on here seems to really like the Bilsteins. I have KYB's on mine and really like them. They aren't too harsh and make most bumps in the road feel minor without feeling like a buckboard wagon going over them.
Same setup here, except I put the 36 count in my map lights and a single 48 in the dome light and rear cargo light. I also put a 36 inside my glove box. It's so nice to see what is in that thing at night. The 36's fit the map lights perfectly.
Mine is out too. Went out about two months ago. I think I saw a post where someone replaced the bulb for the LCD readout, but I can't find it now. I figure one day, I'll get brave enough and pull mine out and see what I can do with it.
