SOLD. Thanks to all.
I have my 97 3rd Gen 4runner 4x4 up for sale in Richmond, KY. Looking to sell it whole not wanting to part out. It had the notorious ball joint failure about 3 weeks ago. Luckily we had been stopped at a traffic light and went about 100 feet before the left front wheel buckled up under the driver's door. There is no body damage and at first it looked like two new ball joints and a brake line and new axle was all that was going to be needed to fix it. Sadly once we removed the wheel and spindle I found that the sway bar mount on the frame had ripped the frame and pulled it apart. Too much rust in the frame.
It has almost 280,000 miles on the engine transmission and transfer case. Still got 20 mpg on the interstate and has had Mobile 1 synthetic run in it since new.
There is a cold air induction kit installed. To keep from worrying about the radiator/transmission milk shake issue I installed B&M transmission cooler, bypassing the radiator.
It has a Sport hood.
Bumpers front and rear have been replaced
Rear bumper cut out to accept hitch turned upside down for clearance.
New 1999 style headlights recently installed
Both front brake calipers replaced in recently
New CV joint axle on right side
Driver side axle no good.
Gen 4 wheels painted with factory Anthrocite paint
Yokohama 265x75-17 tires with 80% tread left.
2 inch lift from what I can tell
KYB shocks
New inner and outer tie rods
Windshield has two cracks in upper right corner
SR5 Flares with Raptor bed liner
Sunroof replaced Aug. of 2014
Interior in great condition
Seats slightly stained from being 19 years old but not bad
Motor runs perfectly, never an issue with it
Transmission and Transfer case work perfectly no issues
I can go on and on.
