There are two things to try. 1. Flip them around. They have a +/- side. Also, the bulbs should each have two metal "prongs" on the sides. Use a fingernail to -gently- pull it away from the bulb. It should be a slight angle, but it needs contact. P.S. If all else fails, Auto Parts Stores will...

Thank you. Can anyone tell me about the resistor for the fast flashing? I am not mechanically inclined past oil and serp belt changes and a fear of messing something up prevents me from tinkering with my 4runner too much. Is the resister required? Will it make my lights freak out if I skip it?

I would not bother with a Rough Country lift. I do not have one on my 07 4unner but had one on my 06 Jeep Liberty. Rough Country is notorious for rough rides and springs that sag back to stock within a year of applying it. Spend the extra and get an Old Man Emu lift. You won't be sorry...
