    Are Spidertrax legal?

Caution: Read only if you want the boring minutia of MA Law So with the tip from Chaz pointing me in the right direction, I did a little more digging. In MA, the DMV regulations pertaining to vehicle heights (for lifting and lowering) are set forth at 540 CMR 6.00. Here's a link...

    Are Spidertrax legal?

Chaz, strong work digging this up. Just what I was looking for. And Tax Guy, good idea on calling the Staties.

    PIAA's mounted in lower grille

Yup, the post you're referencing is from Offroadr, same one as in my second post above. I can't seem to get his pics to show, but the pic of HOJeepster's does the trick. Double sided tape, Autbond? I'd have gone with chewed bubble gum. HOJ if you've got shots or your mount, I'd love to see...

    PIAA's mounted in lower grille

I definitely remembered both of those 4Runners. Very nice. Can't believe I missed the lights on both of them. Any good pics of the mounts? That's really what I'm fishing for.

    Are Spidertrax legal?

Slvr, I hear you but I can drop off my 4runner at the shop while I'm at work--no lost daddy time. Hambone, I'm between Boston and Providence.

    PIAA's mounted in lower grille

Doh! Of course as soon as I posted, I found the link: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/accessories/21027-oem-looking-auxiliary-light.html#post181495 The pics are gone. If anyone has pictures of this, I'd like to see them. Autbond, any pics of the round ones? Thanks,

    PIAA's mounted in lower grille

I've been searching for half the day and can't seem to find it, but either I'm hallucinating or someone installed a pair of those rectangular PIAA fog/driving lights (940's?) in the lower grille. They were almost a perfect fit after he cut a couple pieces of the plastic crossbars in the grille...

    Are Spidertrax legal?

Thanks guys. I was hoping someone could point me to the actual statute or law in MA so I could convince my mechanic otherwise. Do it myself? Gave that up years ago. Rather spend Saturday playing with my 1 year old daughter.

    Are Spidertrax legal?

My mechanic tells me he can't install Spidertrax because they are illegal in MA and I won't pass inspection. He also says any shop that installs them faces a fine. I can't find anything to confirm his claims, so I wanted to know if anyone here knows if he's correct or just passing on some shop...

    265/70 + wheel spacer + no lift?

So no one has actually tried this yet?

If you could can one "feature" on your 4R....

the seats blow beyond belief My back hurts just thinking about it. Says a lot about the truck that I put up with the seats. Here's why you're all wrong on the DD cargo contraption: 1) put your junk underneath and Fido gets a few square feet to himself up top and doesn't have to dodge stuff...

    265/70 + wheel spacer + no lift?

Makes sense, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually tested it. A similar set up would be what Falls talks about here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36371 If someone is running 265/70's with no lift on rims that have less offset than the stock 17's (stocks are...

    265/70 + wheel spacer + no lift?

Thanks Lou. I assume you put the spacers on after the lift? Any sense of whether the rubbing would be same/worse without the lift? BTW I had looked at your spacer pics earlier. Your truck looks great. I'm trying to get that stance (notice no one says "wide stance" anymore?) without the lift.

    265/70 + wheel spacer + no lift?

I can't quite tell from the threads I've looked at, but has anyone tried wheel spacers (either 1.25" or 1.5") with 265/70 tires at stock height? I know it works with a lift. And it looks like at one point Mole177 had some spacers with no lift and STOCK tires. I'm just wondering if the extra...

    Another Tire Question: 275/65R17

Offset Thanks, I'll check out your pics. I hear you on the concern with changing the offset (and backspacing). Just seemed like some of the pictures of aftermarket wheels I've seen here had different backspacing than stock.
