I can't quite tell from the threads I've looked at, but has anyone tried wheel spacers (either 1.25" or 1.5") with 265/70 tires at stock height? I know it works with a lift. And it looks like at one point Mole177 had some spacers with no lift and STOCK tires. I'm just wondering if the extra diameter on the 70 series causes the outside of the tire to rub against the fender or wheelwell liner. If you have this setup, any pics?

my 265/70's with 1.25 spidertrax spacers and Cornfed 2/1 rubbed the inner fender at the front of the truck...I ended up moving the inner fender forward about an inch...

Thanks Lou. I assume you put the spacers on after the lift? Any sense of whether the rubbing would be same/worse without the lift?
BTW I had looked at your spacer pics earlier. Your truck looks great. I'm trying to get that stance (notice no one says "wide stance" anymore?) without the lift.

If someone is running 265/70's with no lift on rims that have less offset than the stock 17's (stocks are offset 30mm I think), let me know how it worked out (and how much offset your rims have).

I had a minor rub on the inside flap (its like a cheesy piece of rubber supposed to keep dirt out of the engine compartment), when in reverse, full lock, prior to the spacers...I wanted the "stance", so I adjusted the inner fenders to accomdate the spacers...one of the best damn mods out there!

I did some major trimming when I had the black rims installed because of how bad they made my tires rub. I ended up taking them back, but I have them trimmed back significantly.
