Engineering Design Decision? For TRD Pro... No Sun roof, no KDSS.. But why?

It's not the weight, it's the lawsuit after someone stuffs their head through it.

As for the sunroof, if you're going to market a vehicle capable of catching air, it's wise to remove the twenty pound piece of glass above the drivers head.

The TRDPro 4runner is a replacement for the TRD/Trail Team FJ. The FJ in the US ended in 2014 and the TRDPro 4runner filled that market in 2015. Note they are basically the same package, wheels/tires, bilstein shocks, floor mats, shift knob, etc..

Paying retail for a supply limited item isn't getting hosed. Buying the extended warranty, protection package, high interest long term loan and gap insurance is getting hosed. Most of those F&I slugs make $200k per year because they know which end of the hose to work.

I agree, my dealer "build sheet" lists them as no charge option codes. Based on pictures of TRDPros arriving at the port, I'd guess shock/suspension package, front and rear, wheel/tires, alignment and shift knob. I'm not sure what the other codes might be. Possibly inventory coding for the...

Based Toyota websites, it appears they sell 4runners in Chile, but not in Mexico or Argentina.

From Toyota's website. How many TRD Pro Series vehicles will be built? How can I get one? How many TRD Pro Series vehicles will be built? How can I get one? Approximately 3,500 Tundra TRD Pro Series vehicles will be produced. Over 3,000 4Runner TRD Pro Series vehicles will be produced. Over...

    4runner TRD Pro

Some of the reasons I think Toyota will make 3400 for the US or North American market. As of 2014, the Toyota 4Runner is sold in the U.S., Canada, Central America, Bahamas, Ecuador, Peru, and Chile.(wiki) In 2013 Toyota had 1233 US dealerships. (Toyota) Some dealers have already sold 4 or 5...

    4runner TRD Pro

I had a 07 FJ TRD. The dealer said it was 1 of 1000, however they made 3200. The last Trail Team FJ came in numbered units of 2500. I suspect the actual number of TRDPro 4runners is the 3400. Either way, the resale value on my TRD FJ was unbelievable, which is why I jumped on the chance to buy a...

I've never seen an actual number from Toyota, but have had dealers tell me different numbers. Fourwheeler.com had an article that stated a minimum of 2500 and CarandDriver listed 3400. 2015 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro First Drive ? Review ? Car and Driver

I found mine on autotrader at a small town dealer 150 miles away. When I found them on the Toyota site they were already sold. The local dealers would tell me they could get one, but then try to sell me something on the lot. I suggest checking autotrader daily. I got about $3000 off MSRP, but...

    TRD Pro Clunk

You stated, "I'm pretty sure that's why we are all here because our brand new trucks ride like a pos!" I understand being disappointed with the clunk, but don't understand how that translates to "ride like a pos".

    TRD Pro Clunk

Now that we have a second member (wink, wink) that is disappointed with the ride quality, I'm curious what exactly makes it a pos. Considering it is a factory prepared off-road vehicle, I find it to better than expected.
