It was a beautiful day! Lots of traffic, mostly side by side and motorcycles. Had too much fun riding to take many pics, tho. Plan to go again the 27th with a couple guys from work. Will try to get pics then. Anyone who can make it would be welcome company!

Nvmd. I cleaned the old plunger up and put it back in, and I'm back in business. The old and new were close, but not quite the same. Seems a plunger will outlive several sets of contacts in most cases, so I believe this old 2nd Gen will go to its grave with this starter setup. Just in time for...

Holy Thread Revival, Batman! Replaced starter solenoid contacts. Rebuild kit came with a new plunger, so I replaced it, too. Should I have just cleaned the original up, or does it matter?

A good rule of thumb to follow is, "Leave it better than you found it". I always carry a couple trash bags and pick up things that catch my eye. And I stay on established trails. It may not make a huge difference, but if more would follow suit... It only takes a nickel to go first class.

OK, 1990 5 spd 3.0L starts fine and runs smooth, but throws a CEL usually as I accelerate from a stop. When I turn the key off it goes away and doesn't blink when I connect the diagnostic pins. I've even tried running it with the pins connected, but still no code. Maybe I'm doing it wrong...
