My MPG just jumped up to 18 (was 16.5) using the on board computer. I'm driving the exact same roads and speed. Summer gas?

Why post this?

I'm in San Diego. Just purchased 05 V8 2WD and getting 16.5mpg on the internal computer. Gentle driving, 50% freeway/50% town roads. Car has 46K mi. Runing premium Gas.

Just purchased a 05 Limited V8 (2WD) with 45K mi from the original owner with all service records - dealer oil changes every 5K mi. Has Nav, JBL, tow package, sun roof, leather etc. Looks and smells close to brand new. I paid $16,250 after taxes and title transfer fees.

So I plan to purchase a GROM-USB adapter for my stock jbl nav model E7005. I simply want to load my music files on a USB stick and play them as CD's. There are many similar devices listed on Ebay and most all of them connect using an external CD player connector that is white with 2 rows of 6...

Car is 2005 with the stock Nav. Head unit says jbl on it but non of the speakers have the jbl label so i think it is a standard audio system with NAV. I was a little dissapointed to see it has only a 1 x CD player. Is there an adapter I can buy for this unit to accept aux audio or better still...
