I did, I looked under seat and by the firewall on the passenger side under the hood. No luck.

I checked for a module and it does not have one. Plus I bought it from the same owner since 1999. He said it never came with remote locks, so I have no reason to believe it is just missing the key fobs.

If this were just about any other color, I'd be all over it. I have been searching for a clean 5-speed 4Runner in Colorado for so long, but I dread silver or white. I can't see spending this kind of money unless it's the perfect vehicle for me. Good luck with the sale!
