Got it back from the shop yesterday. I guess I do have a mechanics ear, #2 cylinder wasnt firering. It was due to some of the OLDEST, most messed up spark plugs I have EVER seen in a car. I replaced them all and now it runs fine again.

AHH thank you SO much for posting the pictures. That helps, I have determined I have the ADD hubs. Nice not to have to get stuck and get out to get unstuck.

The dumb rims this thing has are kind of a pain in the ass to take the center piece off to lock the hubs. The visor Tells me how to use the 4WD system, but it gives instructions for both the ADD and the manual locking system. What on the dash would let me know if it was manual or automatic...

So I bought this 1992 4runner SR5 V6 the week before last, but I didn't have anytime to work on it before I left for Idaho for a week. Can anyone tell me how I can figure out what type of hubs I have for 4WD?
