Engine running HORRIBLY

This started just earlier today. It was running fine this morning when I drove it to school. Just purring. Now when I fired it up after parking it for a couple hours its running like crap. It sounds like its not firing off all cylinders, and bogs WAY down when Im moving from a complete stop. Any ideas?

Well I just dropped it off at the shop. Should know soon whats up. Its weird, it runs and drives just sounds like crap. I know its not a rod knock (given my experience with VW's). Im just freaking out, I just shelled out $2500 for this thing, so I dont have much to fix it

Got it back from the shop yesterday. I guess I do have a mechanics ear, #2 cylinder wasnt firering. It was due to some of the OLDEST, most messed up spark plugs I have EVER seen in a car. I replaced them all and now it runs fine again.

If the plugs were that bad, you probably should replace cap and rotor too, at least.

Yes I know, Im a little short on cash after spending $46 on the iridium Spark plugs and $90 on the hour it took them to run the compression test and figure out what else was wrong with it. Next week I'll install the new wires and cap and rotor. I love this truck, Im thinking about saving up and getting a brush gaurd and new lights.
