    Clunk when stopped

Did the driveshaft grease fix your issue? If not, any chance you had your transmission fluid changed before or while you owned the vehicle?

A750F transmission acting weird? Overfill it!

After breaking the first transmission, I was sure it was because I had missed a step in the procedures. Myself and two others followed the FSM to a T during the second transmission install, and I was quite disappointed when the symptoms remained. All I could think of was "I am going to need a...

A750F transmission acting weird? Overfill it!

No offense taken to any of the comments, after all, it seems absurd, especially if you would not personally mess with such complicated systems like the engine and transmission. Two years ago, I hydrolocked my original engine and threw a connecting rod, while punching a whole in the engine block...

A750F transmission acting weird? Overfill it!

I'm on my second transmission. I am confident the first broke after filling ATF to specification in accordance with factory service manual. Second transmission had symptoms of first transmission until I added an extra 1.5 quarts of ATF WS. Do you drive a 2003-2005 Limited V8 4WD? Does your...

    Diagnostic code "c1224" help!

I followed the video to a T and I'm confident I was successful. Just didn't work. What I have done was reset all electronic connections in the ecm and skid control Ecu, and reset the connections of the front speed sensors, since the front wheels were off the ground for so long. Did that...

    ***Cracked Dashboard Action Request***

I feel ya! Down here in Pensacola, FL, I'm on an almost 2 year waiting list with my local toyota dealer (Bob Tyler). I will likely be transferred before my spider-webbed dash gets replaced -_-

    Diagnostic code "c1224" help!

Thanks for the super quick response! I did the zero point calibration last night, crossed my fingers, and 10 miles later the dummy lights came back.

    Diagnostic code "c1224" help!

Folks, I've been out of the 4runner game since last year when I blew my engine up (water in 2 cylinders) replaced the engine with donor, drove 2500 miles, then blew my transmission up (transfer case collar ate transmission output shaft, forgot to torque transfer to trans and low trans fluid)...

    Guess how this happened...

Finished replacing the engine by myself last Sunday and am happy to report the only code I had was for one bad O2 sensor. It took 3 weeks, 4 hours a day.

    Guess how this happened...

If you need any tips on how to pull it, first things first: I could not pull the motor without removing the transfer case from the transmission and then removing the transmission and engine together. The top transmission to engine bolts (bell housing bolts) proved impossible to get to until...

Intake to power steering hose identification

I could do that, but not knowing which hose goes to which nipple makes me skeptical. I dont want to contaminate air with coolant, coolant with oil, etc... I'm really hoping someone will read and just snap a photo of their configuration...

Intake to power steering hose identification

So... A photo of someone's V8 coolant reservoir will be more than enough....

Intake to power steering hose identification

Forgot to label which goes to which outlet/inlet. Can your guys help? 2 nipples coming from one connection on the power steering pump. I have a hose left over from the intake manifold and another from the air cleaner (overflow area?). Just replaced a hydrolocked 4.7 and this was the last...

    Guess how this happened...

I hear ya, but that particular bumper left me with a bad taste even though I have only myself to blame for what happened. I have other things to look forward to after getting rid of the bumper, i.e. Better gas mileage, lighter steering wheel.
