I'll be using the stock rails, but from what I've read, it's not worth trusting the stock crossbars.

I don't have those measurements yet - the RTT is supposed to come today. But my understanding is that there are three rails on the bottom of the tent that allow for u-bolt type hardware to secure it to the crossbars.
