    dies shortly after start

Could this be the Idle Air control? That green type sensor plug located beneath the throttle body? I've been having this problem lately too and will take the MAF/intake off and unscrew it and clean with MAF cleaner to see if it helps. Some say they've tapped on it and it's helped but that wasn't...

    Overheating from...

Why would this only occur in the morning? Also I've been having to add to the resevoir for the past 2 weeks now, but everytime I check the rad after it runs out in the resevoir it's still full in the radiator. Parked it on a hill in the back, it burped a bit especially with cap off and revved...

    Overheating from...

So I havent had a chance to flush it yet but it did it again, when I stopped and checked under the hood it was hissing up near the engine, and maybe a cup of fluid spilled out somewhere too this time. Could this be a cracked head or gasket problem before I waste $ on the flushing?

    Overheating from...

I'll try flushing it out to burp it but another side note 2 weeks ago I had the coils and plugs changed and I brought up the sound ive been hearing that I thought was the fan or near it and he listened with the stethescope and said the bearings are going out on the A/C clutch/pulley? It sounds...

    Overheating from...

I had the heater core replaced last year (both of them) and the radiator is about 4 years old after replacing it. Could that sound I hear be something in the Firewall blocking it up? It sounded like rustling at one point.

    Overheating from...

So last week this happened once and it happened again today. I go out in the morning to heat up the 4runner to take the kids to school, let it warm up for around 10 mins then head off, well about 3/4 of the way there the temp gauge creeps up to the red zone and I have to pull over (same spot)...

    Transmission Leak

So I noticed I'm losing a lot of tranny fluid underneath. It's still a red color and it actually knocked into gear the other day. My question is; is it safe to add that "Stop Leak" fluid in until I get the money next week to fix the seal? Also our '97 auto v6's take Dex 3 correct? Lastly if I'm...

Got a new bull bar from my wife as a anniversary gift. I'll post more when I get the lights picked out, but here's how it is for now with a quick phone shot.

    New bullbar. Light suggestions?

So my wife bought Me a Hunter bull bar for an early anniversary present. I was in need of some updated lighting. Anyways, what are some of Your suggestions on lights on it? I was thinking I will add 6" lights in the middle, and then a couple of small ones below in place of the designated license...

A couple of problems: What the heck is this?

No it's not. This forum site is still as useless as it's always been. I bet I'd have a ****load of replies if I had pictures of my new lift though. I'll just take it to a mechanic as usual.

A couple of problems: What the heck is this?

So why is it making such a loud noise? The fan inside or whatever winds up and then dies down while the electric is on. Any idea why I'd be missing on start up? MAF? Starter? Fuel pump? Or is it just kinda a hit or miss on that issue?

A couple of problems: What the heck is this?

Is this the fuel pump? The one with the 5 hard/fuel lines coming out? When I turn the key to ON the fan/electric spins unusually loud. Especially lately, that's how I noticed it and also the runner has been hard to start. It will but it's like it's not getting the fuel/spark so it starts then...

Post your Satoshi Mod Pics Here!

It looks pretty cool actually and obviously original. You plan to keep the chrome around the outer grille area or tie the color in with the hood and the middle piece as well? Originally I was going to do the bottom part of my mod in black to match the bumper, but time and patience ran thin so I...

Post your Satoshi Mod Pics Here!

Finally got the satoshi mod on. Instead of starting a new thread i'll resurrect this one. It went smoothly. Got a couple touch up spots but it works. Will update with better picture later but you get the idea.

How much lift is too much for stock UCA's?

What are the ToyTec's adjusted to when You order them pre-assembled? I put them on as they came and it sits well higher than the rear with 1 year old 891's weighed down with a sub, amp and tool box. I was thinking of lowering them a notch, but don't know how far to torch. Also I have already...
