    Steering Column U-Joint

I just finished doing mine myself. The connections were extremely rusty, as others have found, but with a good soaking of PB, I was able to hammer it off with a long cold chisel. I tried not to move the steering on the rack end and I used the mason line technique to check before assembly. I...

Swap a 4th Gen steering wheel for a 5th Gen?

I agree, I like the new wheel better too. I would like to swap mine out if possible and not too much $$$. But I suspect with the airbag in there it would be big bucks.

    wheel offset question

I have 17x8.5 -6mm offset wheels with 265/70/17 tires and Daystar 2.5/1.5 lift. I had to move the fender liners forward and trim the corner of of the fender. Nothing too major. I took my front mud flaps off as a precaution, but I think I might be ok to put them back on and not rub. I will try...

You've been recalled (Gas pedal modification by the dealer)

I just had mine done yesterday as well. They said I could postpone it if I wanted to , but I told them to go ahead and do it. I don't notice any difference in the feel of the pedal. My aftermarket mats are locked in and trimmed away in this area anyway.

The Dark Knight from Kazakhstan Build Thread

Ilyas, your truck looks simply amazing. Very well put together. How are the -12mm offset wheels working out? It looks like you were able to keep your front mudflaps, so I presume there was not much rubbing? I have found a some wheels I like that only come in a -12mm offset, but I was...

    265/70/17 Tire question

I am not the expert, but I have heard and read somewhere that the LT's should be run at a higher pressure than what is recommended for P rated tires in the same size. If I remember correctly, I think it recommended about 6 or 7 psi more, which would be around 38-39 psi. Others have recommended...

ProComp said rims won't fit my Sport Ed 4Runner

There is a new MT Classic III with a -12mm offset, which might work. I have seen a few running -12's, they seem too look good in the pics on the 06+ with the wider flares. I am pondering -12mm, would have preferred 0's or -6mm's, but there are a few wheels I like that only come in -12.

ProComp said rims won't fit my Sport Ed 4Runner

I like those wheels as well and the classic II's but it says the offset is -15mm, which I think is too much. The one I was looking at was the Sidebiter. I found one guy who put them on a sport and they rubbed.

ProComp said rims won't fit my Sport Ed 4Runner

Those are nice wheels, with a nice offset. Too bad if they wont fit. I also have a sport and I am looking for wheels that will fit. I have contacted a few companies and they have all said they would fit, except one, Mickey Thompson, which recommended a trial fit first and wouldn't guarantee...

Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Looks nice. I presume you have the Daystar 2.5/1.5 and the tires are 275/65/18? Do you have any rubbing with that combo? Do you have Spidertrax as well? I have that setup and I am considering that same tire size. Thanks.
