    Rear diff?

... well, the driveshaft won't "catch" anything per'se.. it simply transmits power from the transmission to the rear axle. You should always check the simple things first. In this case I would be sure your universal joints are working right. they can cause binding like I think you are trying to...

Cup holder solution for 1st gen?

Time to resolve my cupholder issue.. as we know, there are none. I'm gonna make my own center console and may find a place to add the cup holders to it but I have no clue where yet. I hate floppy cup holders.. I need them to be solid.. stay where they are and be out of the way while easily...

Detroit vs. Yukon grizzly... your results?

Thanks! I know the warranty is good.. just rather not have to use it. Its nice to know you've had it awhile and never pay it attention.. speaks volumes! So as it stands now Grizzly it is. gonna put the order in in the next few days.. any other input untill then is always appreciated!

Detroit vs. Yukon grizzly... your results?

Well, the welded diff in my rear 8" finally let loose so its time to pull the trigger and stick a full case auto locker in there. I've run a Detroit in the front and rear of a jeep YJ happily for years but they can be quirky on the road. I'm interested in the Yukon and its claims of smoother...

    Post up your Flex shots

Old one but you get the idea.. This was just after I put new rear shackles on.. the old ones were too short and compressing to the frame.. not a problem.. untill they don't come back down without grabbing the truck and lifting!

    Glass Polishing Anyone???

. Because tempered glass is strong-very strong.. its heat treated to align molecules into a pattern giving it resistance to breaking. However, in cars it must break under sudden impact situations giving a passenger a possible escape after a crash.. meeting atleast AS-1 standards. Doing...

    Glass Polishing Anyone???

. I'm a master glass tech of 20yrs.. you can polish a windshield or any non-tempered piece. In your case every piece of glass but the windshield is tempered (as is the case with most cars). So in short.. nothing you do will make much of a diff short of changing them out; some products may seem...

    Tire and rim oppinions

re That depends on what gears you have and how much work your willing to do to keep the tires from rubbing. What kind of driving you'll do is important too. basically, the smaller the tire the more manageable the truck.

Need some 4x4 topics to write about

... Do an article on how rigs are built for their region and a breakdown of why.. My truck is built for Colorado wheeling, and I'm pretty certain Florida wheeling would destroy it! Where as a guy with a truck built for Florida would find the same fate here.. Stay on top of the newest regional...

Any Danger in Bypassing the Clutch Switch?

Ditch it! I took mine out simply so I can use the starter alone to get me out of sticky situations on the trail. Broke a fuel line so it wouldnt fire up while I was on some nasty boulders: got it to a flat surface so I could fix it easily and not be in the way holding up traffic.
