Issue with USB Interface from Phone to Kenwood DDX575BT

Thanks Brother! A picture is worth a thousand words. I'll get in there one of these nights this week, and see about fabbing up one of these "Johns06Yota" solutions! I'll check back into this thread when I get the chance to do the work. Thanks again.

Cool! I'm a visual learner. You didn't happen to take any pics of this, did you? It's so close to working! Like you are saying, the connection of this interface to the radio USB is where the problem lies. Snugging up that connection is where I will head next. Thanks!

Going Rate For Used But Restored/Powdercoated SR5 Rims?

SOLD! Needed the space, had a kid offer me $100 and come to pick them up. He was pretty happy to have a set of nicer wheels than his current set for his tacoma which made me happy. Plus I got a $100 in my pocket!

Definitely disappointed in the feedback from all your personal experiences. You would think something like this would be plug & play?

Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Not beating up on the guy, but I honestly thought this style of "weights on the outside" of the wheel was history. All I've seen the last 5-10 years are the sticker weights on the insides.

Issue with USB Interface from Phone to Kenwood DDX575BT

This doesn't stick out of the center console. It fits into the spare ports in front of the console. Here is a pic of mine still installed because I know somebody here is going to give me the magic fix!:biggrin2:

Issue with USB Interface from Phone to Kenwood DDX575BT

I had such high hopes for this amazon device! It is definitely the weak link here, and was curious if anyone found a way to make it work with that magic T4R.org ingenuity.

Issue with USB Interface from Phone to Kenwood DDX575BT

Hi Team, So I recently installed a Kenwood, and it's great. Minus the fact that the USB cable is not long enough to reach the ports in front of the center console. So based on T4R.org member suggestion, I purchased the extension pictured below from Amazon. Unfortunately, when I connect my phone...

    285/70/17 front clearance question

Sounds like a sweet setup with the suspension, and bumper. My guess with the stock wheels, that tire size, without a wheel spacer, you're going to rub on the UCA's pretty hard.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Regarding the radio install. Last item outstanding is how can I extend the USB cable to the spare ports next to the DAC in front of the center console? I attempted to use a general USB I had laying around the house, and no luck. Any suggestions on what you Kenwood owners did to get the USB...
