Clutch replacement - double check & advice

I just spent an hour looking around under there and I can't find where that goes. Regarding the 4wd shifter I definitely need some help as google isn't giving me what I need. How do I put it in :) Here is the other blue electrical clip by the trans. This is on the passenger side.

took a quick picture of the blue clip. This is from underneath the drivers side (you can see the slave cylinder)

Clutch replacement - double check & advice

I will take it out this evening or tomorrow and take a picture as I'm not sure what's wrong specifically. I'll also take a picture of the blue electrical connector/clip that seems to be hanging free near the trans. I believe we have hooked up all connectors that are mounted directly to the...

Clutch replacement - double check & advice

So, lots of life stuff happened and I couldn't get time in the shop to finish this project until last week. I thought I took a picture of the throwout bearing but I can no longer find it on my phone. Basically the retaining holder (?) was cracked and broken so when the fork moved it moved...

Clutch replacement - double check & advice

Long overdue update. I played with the pedal adjustment and even replaced the master and slave altogether. No change Dropped the transmission and the clutch disk itself is pretty worn but not horrible. Flywheel looks ok, no hotspots but with my fingers I felt some tiny grooves. Took out the...

Clutch replacement - double check & advice

Thanks everyone :) I'll play with the pedal adjustment first and see if I can elicit any changes. Thanks for the confirmation on the Aisin kit and I will definitely do a thread of the replacement if it's necessary. I would also do the rear main seal while I'm down there. If it's not just a...

New ignition lock cylinder - won't engage ignition - 1996 base

Thanks for the reply but I think I just discovered that the spindle/rod behind the cylinder has broken at the very end. I will try and post a picture https://imgur.com/a/dBIZP

New ignition lock cylinder - won't engage ignition - 1996 base

I had my ignition lock cylinder lock up and couldn't get it to acc to remove it so I had to drill it out. The new one slides in fine and the key turns to lock, acc, on and start but when I try to start it nothing happens. It also does not kill the power when I turn the key to lock and remove...

    Replacement Rear Suspension - Canada

Update: I went with Dephcon's suggestion and got the shocks and coil springs from North Shore Off-Road. I went with OME 891's and pro-comp shocks (sorry forget the model #). The shock threads were heavily painted, so much so that the nut wouldn't go on so I had to use a wire wheel and strip...

    Replacement Rear Suspension - Canada

can anyone recommend a good site/shop for sourcing springs & shocks for a 96' 2.7l 4runner. Also, what should I be looking to get based on the below scenario? My main use will be towing a fairly heavy (for the truck) aluminum boat. The stock stuff I have on now (not sure it's ever been...

    Tire advice

I've got a 96 4runner, running 245/75R16 Dunlop AT20 "grandtrek" tires and every time I drive in any rain it's a miracle I make it home alive. Thus, I need new tires. A friend recommended BFG A/T 265/70R16 so I priced them out and it's going to cost me near $1200 at shops around town. I am...
