well of course I re-torque any important bolt , ie.. track bar , control arms etc but any of the little 12mm bolts nope just finish with a wrench after impact to ensure they are snug

I just did this job too but , just used flat bar and bent it to same shape and welded the ends on , toyota wanted like $200 (cdn) per strap yes EACH and they were week away in US , was not paying that anyways they crazy

Update , mine was the alternator, battery light came on a week later , changed out alternator and noise is gone , i would of bet the house that noise was not coming from alternator it blew my mind . Sounded internal from top of engine area

mine just started out of no wheres ,2011 4 runner ,sounds like its super charged now ,, 100 k miles owned since new spending hours researching this and can find any concrete reason , driving me nuts it is , how does this whistling noise just start out of nowhere ???

hey guys , my rear track bar mount on axle is getting to the point I have to do something with it , I searched internet but couldn't find any pre made weld on bracket , anyone know of any before I have to homemade fab something ?
