T4R Bottoms Out Over Mexican Speed Bumps!

I have the same problem witth my 05 4runner. I changed all four shocksto tthe kybs, and changed the front springs with oem toyota springs. Its a little better, but still dissapointed. Should have bought the Bilstien shocks.

will using a spacer change the occasional bottom out on the bump stops on dips, etc? I'm not expecting so, but wanted other opinions. thanks

    maybe weak springs?

Thanks for all the good info! Will start looking for some springs! I just put on all new KYB shocks. Do you think they will work correctly lengthwise with the fj springs?

    maybe weak springs?

So I recently bought a 2005 4Runner sr5 v6 2wd. It has almost 120,000 miles on it. I replaced all the shocks with KYB's. Front end still seems to bottom out on speed bumps, or some dips in the road, construction sites, etc. Do I just need to replace the springs next? Thanks for any help.
