By "new transmission" I mean the 2005 4Runner's have the new 5sp tranny instead of the 4sp from '03 and '04, so that's a positive for buying that year.

Not that I'm questioning your awesome negotiation skills, but you actually think I can get a 2004 loaded V8, even though it's only 2WD (I don't need 4WD) for $14k out the door when private party is 2.5 grand more, and retail is 4 grand more?

Where did you see 2WD? I was under the impression all V8's were AWD

Is 91 octane the recommended octane? Is that what most people use? Or just regular?
