Another noob question. Does the steering wheel lock after the key is removed? Or was that function added later? It's a 1989 T4R V6

Thanks. W/O going into a lot of details, I had the dealer cut a key but it only worked on the doors and not the ignition Maybe the PO had a new ignition installed.

Hi all I just bought a 1989 4unner. Did they originally come with separate ignition and door keys? Where the ignition key would only work in the ignition and door key only in the doors? Thanks.
