Dang. Was hoping it would not be a product limitation. There is actually a certificate of calibration in the kit and the tool is not a cheap one although did get it on sale. I guess I could still go with 82 as the safer route then going to 84 but still sucks for what seems a higher end...

Hopefully your problem is resolved with just the cap fix but note this response as I seen this before also.
Problem might pop up again later at which point maybe you will feel better about going to dealer. There could be an emission related issue
