    Winch Selection?

I'm thinking of making the investment in a winch. Primarily for use if I get stuck in soft sand in the desert. Otherwise it will sit inside my new steel bumper I'm having fabricated. I hear CSI winches are pretty good? Any opinions out there? Recommendations on size? Could I get away with...

Icon lift kit or ToyTec lift kit?

Icon all the way. I drive 90% on road. Runs great. Off road is smooth and stable. Awesome. $2,062 for both front and rear shocks springs and total chaos front arms. Oh, and rip out the entire xreas. It leaks on the driveway if not. Sooooo much better than xreas. Smooth, stable and no...

Is the resonator a secondary muffler?

Yeah, I thought about putting the resonator back on. Surprisingly enough, the 50 series Magnaflow made all the difference. Throaty on the gas, mellow when idling and cruising.

SUV Tents, Awnings and Screen Rooms

Does anyone have a favorite, SUV tent, awning or screen room they can attach to their 4Runner? I'm looking for something that I can use to crawl inside the truck and sleep if it gets too windy or cold. But I don't want some giant 8 man "POS" that's attached to the back of the vehicle. I'm...

    question about spidertrax

Check out this link: Toyota 4Runner Wheel Spacers I think they copied a large majority of this information from the spidertrax website. If you have stock rims, I think the wheelspacers are a great idea and won't reduce the longevity of the linkages and components. However, if you have...

    question about spidertrax

The Spidertrax only come in a 1.25" version. I'm not sure how to calculate the rim offset with the spidertrax spacers, but I think the tire shop guys can tell you. Keep in mind too, that the spidertrax spacers are hub centric and do a great job of keeping the "weight" of the vehicle off of the...

Is the resonator a secondary muffler?

Ironic. I just installed a magnaflow muffler and cutoff the resonator and installed a ~14" stainless steel tip. (I don't have pics on me at the moment). It looks great and sounds great. But.... Two words: Too Loud. The magnaflow is, I believe the "smaller" of the magnaflows and it sounds...

    '07 Sport Edition mods...Your input..

I picked up 4 moto metal rims for around $550. M0957 version. Then a shop charged me $200 to swap the tire pressure sensors and mount and balance my stock rubber on the rims. Then I sold my stock rims for $275. So I was out a total of $475 and I didn't have to powder coat anything and got the...

4th Gen. Best Anti Theft Device ??

I put a $1,000 clifford alarm on mine with Radar and motion sensor and the whole 9 yards. I just wasn't comfortable leaving my truck at a trailhead over night when I hiked into deserted areas.

Feedback on Intakes & Exhaust Anyone?

So I'm thinking about upgrading my exhaust and my intake. An exhaust shop down the street will replace the muffler with a flowmaster for $160 which I thought was a pretty good deal. A little more "rumble" noise and maybe some horsepower increase. Of course I'll throw a stainless steel tip on...

    shift knobs

I got the RAZO shifter and matching pedals. They were on sale at the toyota dealership. Half off. The gray on the shifter matches the interior. And the shifter pedals had an adjustment that allowed me to swing the accelerator pedal out a bit so that my foot wasn't angled and cocked to the...

    blacked out headlights

The light assembly is constructed to withstand sun, heat, rain, snow, wind for hundreds of thousands of miles. The temps you put it in the oven at will not prematurely degrade the plastic, it only loosens up the caulking. Which does not vaporize at these temps over a short duration. So when...
