Thanks for your thoughts. I had not heard about the problems witht he Optima. The Platnum shows a 4 year free replacement warranty from Sears so I think I will go that route.

I would have taken it off if I had time. A bit too close to the muzzle for comfort. It unscrews pretty easily now. Not sticking at all.

Clarity Perhaps I wasn't clear no pun intended. I would use the replacments for off road driving, I do not want to blind oncoming traffic. I also drive a lot on dark two lane roads, little on no traffic.

Mpg Ave 21.6, caculated by hand. 80% highway w/ac. Worst: 19 mpg with 4 large men and and a small wife. I was surprised that the extra weight made that much difference. To my suprise, the trip computer is quite accuarte for MPG. 4x4 Limited, 10,000 miles.

mpg gauge d a few tenths high. More accurate than my LR3. Just over 20 mpg if mostly city. A bit over 21 mpg with 80/20 highway/ city.
