Apparently, I have a bad fuel level sensor in my '88. Its the sensor at the back of the tank that shows fuel level and the low fuel light. New ones are $200. Wondering if anybody has looked and seen if 2nd gen sensors are the same. I know they share alot of parts and there's tons of them in...

thanks guys for the response. Guess there's a few things I need to check out. Probably start with both the cold start timer and the temp sensor and go from there. The testing procedures doesn;t look that bad from the manual if I can get the room back there. I thought it sounded like an air...

Just replaced a blown 3.0 with a running 3.0. Runs great at operating temp but having a problem getting there. At cold start-up, the temp guage is indicating normal operating temp, not cold. Within a few minutes, it will finally fall and then start its slow climb back up as the engine warms...

Two weeks and two outings....heck, i think i enjoy driving this thing more than i enjoy fixing it! :shrug: Decided to take it out to the granite fields and see what she could do. Had a lot of fun....wonder whats next.

You may like it but years from now some owner will hate you cause they will have to grind off all the crappy looking bedliner off to get it re-painted. Btw, here's one I'm in possession of right now, looks much better in the pic than in person:
