My friend's car is dead so we're trying to take it to get it repaired. I have a 06' V8 4WD. I believe I have a 7000 lb tow rating, so I should have no problem putting the car on one of those uhaul flatbeds and tow it right? I should also keep in 4HI and leave in 4th too as well correct...

mmm the V6 has an extra mode right? on mine there is 4Hi and 4Lo only. Tell me if I have this right... So I'm guessing my options are: 4HI + diff unlocked: daily driving (wet etc) 4HI + diff locked: gravel? uneven roads? 4Lo + diff unlocked: Mud? 4Lo + diff locked: extreme worst case scenario?

75k miles 06 sr5 v8 4x4...no major repairs except the $4k air injection problem. honestly though the car feels like it can easily do another 100k easy with just regular maintenance.

i think it needs a clay + polish but i'm just going to have a pro do it as i'm ill equipped to do such things..anybody know what the going rate for a service like that is?

I agree, that if they did not issue an extended warranty on the Tundras/Sequoias I would be quiet. I'm sure this problem is also prevalent with our upscale cousin the GX470 and any other vehicle with the 2UZ-FE
