    SeattleMike's cargo project

Got your PM, Mike. I am proud to have provided inspiration to you! Yeah, I finally sold my 3rd gen for a 100 series land cruiser...family got too big for the runner. That's why I haven't really been on this forum anymore. About a month ago I started the build that SAM posted above. I've got...

    Built 2000 4Runner - 11,500

Bump and lower price See new description in original post. Price is now $9,000 I plan to leave it at this price for a while as it is starting to get to be a pretty low price for this rig...

    Built 2000 4Runner - 11,500

New price So, I've started the build on my Land Cruiser and have begun to steal parts from this 4runner for sale. New price: $10,000 Edits from first post: -No more dual battery set up. I remove the isolator and the two optima yellow tops. The bracket is still left to fit two optima...

    Built 2000 4Runner - 11,500

I hear ya, but this is not a pretty boy rig...its functional first, vanity last. I hope to find a buyer looking for just that. That is not to mean it wasn't loved or mechanically taken care of. Its just not a rig for chasing tail in. I can self spot without having to get out of the rig, all...

    Built 2000 4Runner - 11,500

Thought I was patient to wait for a buyer that wants to jump right into a built rig, but I don't feel like re-buying stuff for the LC, so... NEW PRICE: $10,500 REMOVED FROM ADD ABOVE: -CB and antenna removed. -Dual yellow tops and battery isolator removed. Now has 139,500 miles. Still has...

    Built 2000 4Runner - 11,500

Built 2000 4Runner - $9,000 POST UPDATED. NEW PRICE. $9,000 For sale in Denver Colorado area: I am selling my customized, off road, expedition, rock-crawling 2000 Sport 4Runner. This rig is my baby and I would not be selling it if not for the fact that my “real” babies are growing up, and...

    Grey Wire Mod For 4Runners

I don't think there is a definitive speed or anything, but I don't think it is safe to have the diff lock on at high speeds. Any differential movement in the vehicle is going to cause a tire to break traction or at least put a lot more force against its tracton to the road. Loosing traction...

    Franken3rdGen

I thought it would be fun to collect a list of how many mods there are to the 3rd gen that come from other vehicles. Post up a thread to a write up if you have it. - TUNDRA - Front brake upgrade, including rotors and calipers. - TUNDRA - I have heard there is a V-8 that fits? I don't know...

    Offroad recovery fees...

That's great! :thumb3: Thanks for all the info. The tow fee from a trail is one of my greatest fears. I think you have eased them a little bit. It sounds like the "horror" stories that I have heard were probably likely to people being off trail.

    Off-roading/traversing near Bryan/CS TX

Bryan, Texas! The thread title jumped out at me. I grew up in College Station for 18 years, before moving to Denver. Sorry, I'm no help though, I wasn't wheeling in those years. I just posted because I thought it was neat to hear someone talking about that area. My folks still live...

Anyone building custom roof racks for their 3rd gen?

Sure. Here's a thread on them: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/off-roading-home-monst4rs/46158-diy-shovel-brackets.html They worked well, but were cumbersome for removing the shovel. I have since ponied up some cash and bought "quick grips" from Sierra Expeditions.

Anyone building custom roof racks for their 3rd gen?

I've got a home-built rack. I bought the basic cage on craigslist from the guy that built it, but then welded it so that it would fit on my 4runner. It attaches to the factory tracks on each side at four locations per side. The photos here weren't really to show off the rack, but rather the...

    4th Try on Coils...

Or will this be my fifth set of rear coils...do I count the stock ones? :hee: I started with OME 890 to 891 to Landcrusier coils (don't know the color codes like Duhocky)...and my rear is still sagging under fully loaded camp trips. :shoot self head: :that worries me: So, I am going to...

    Upper A-Arms, Aftermarket

I need to replace my ball joints on my suspension-lifted 2000. I was considering getting the toytec upper a-arms as an upgrade when I do this. My reasoning for getting the aftermarket upper a-arms are: 1) I think they have more angle, so they stress the upper ball joints less 2) They will...
