UPDATE: I changed the starter contacts and that did not resolve the problem. Any ideas?

97 long start issue I was planning on changing out my starter contacts this weekend. Is there an easy way of checking the fuel pressure. Also if the fuel pressure regulator was going bad wouldn't it throw an error code?
