97 Long Start Issue

Hello everyone, I have a weird starting issue on my 97 4runner limited. When I go to start it after it has been sitting overnight, it cranks 5-6 times before it turns over. This issue only happens when the outside temperature is warm, If its cold outside it will crank 2 times and start right up or if its has be run recently it will start fine. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, cleaned the IAC, throttle body and MAF, replaced the spark plugs and air filter. I have ran a OBDII scanner on it also and its not throwing any codes. Any ideas?

97 long start issue

I was planning on changing out my starter contacts this weekend. Is there an easy way of checking the fuel pressure. Also if the fuel pressure regulator was going bad wouldn't it throw an error code?

If the starter is engaging and cranking over the engine, then the starter contacts are doing their job.

This sounds as if you have a bleed down issue with your fuel system. The cranking that you do, just lets everything catch back up and the injectors actuate with the proper pressure.
