Got notified on the new replies... I've had these UCA's (the second-gen version I think) for 5-6 years now and they have been problem-free and quiet. I think I've only greased them 4 times. Thought it might be useful data because often you only hear about problems.

The insert that is installed in the top of the spindle and accepts the tapered ball joint end? Yeah that's supposed to be included. Did you get the right kit? Part number 25460

Sorry for the lack of updates guys, yes SOLD Yes they could be assembled onto stock shocks. I would strongly advise against it due to lack of available downtravel that would occur. You should have a longer travel shock like the Tundra or Tacoma Billies for running these, same as with any lift...

From the info already presented, especially in Slapdappy's last post, you should be able to form your own opinion.

This is my exact setup. Tundra 5100's, 99 talls, arb Tacoma bullbar, winch. I also have a 1/2 inch body lift so take that into account. On the 3rd perch my hub-to-fender(limited flares) measurement is 21.75"(driver), 22"(pass). My 33's still rub a bit so I need another perch or a top spacer.

This may be a remote possibility, but I noticed you have a XRC8 winch. I have one as well and when my solenoid went bad my battery was dying constantly. I figured out a day or two later that it was a bad solenoid because one of it's terminals and the cable leading to it was burned out...
