    Fuse Box High Contact

Nice, thanks guys. I appreciate the quick help. I'll be taking it into the shop for LBJs pretty soon here (looks like originals on it right now at 230k), so I'll have them check out the code then. Looks like an IAT code, P0110, and something else intermittent. Since the code showed up I put in...

    Fuse Box High Contact

I feel pretty dumb about this, but I opened up my hood to jump my Subaru today (battery is bad) and I noticed something peculiar around the fuse box: Note the blue circles on the image above. This lead to the fuse box is completely disconnected - I'm perplexed because the car SEEMS to run...

    URD 7th Injector Tuning Guide

Gotcha, ok... I guess the 7th injector is going to be the least tuning intensive option no matter what. Since I'm planning to go with the 2.2 inch, it sounds like I'll just have to suck it up and work with the software. Was planning on upgrading in stages (as money is made available), with...

    "Telescoping" front drive shaft stuck

Good deal. I picked up one of the seal removers you mentioned and the old muddy POS popped right out. There was muddy grease all the way up to the back of the seal! Got it all cleaned out and stuck the new one in there. Now to drive it around in the 100+ heat for a few days and check for leaks...

    URD 7th Injector Tuning Guide

You've got me worried now.. I've purchased an SC and was planning on adding the 7th injector kit instead of going the AEM route because I'd heard that the 7th injector kit required little to no tuning out of the box. I don't even have a laptop lol.

    "Telescoping" front drive shaft stuck

Thanks man, I really appreciate all of your help.. I picked up a set of small picking tools/wedges, and I'll see what I can do on this thing after work. Once the old seal is out I'll clean it out and "slide" the new seal in with some thick grease on the outside edge. I'm telling myself that that...

    "Telescoping" front drive shaft stuck

Woo! Good call.. My compressor only goes up to ~120 PSI, but that was just enough. Onto the last problem... I knew it would be dirty, but this is pretty exceptional. There's so much greasy dirt crap around the seal that it's prettymuch welded in place. I've been wrenching on it with pliers and...

    "Telescoping" front drive shaft stuck

Hey guys! You were right, the flanges were welded together with rust. I liberally doused with penetrating oil and left it overnight. Bought a small chisel this morning and whammed it inbetween, and it came loose. Now I'm onto the next problem... I've gone through about 3 screwdrivers on this...

    "Telescoping" front drive shaft stuck

Roger that, thanks for the info, guys! I've hit it with a bunch of liquid wrench and will commence the whamming in the next hour here. I'm such a ***** when it comes to bashing on my own vehicles, even though I know they'd do the same thing if I brought it to a mechanic. :cry2:

    "Telescoping" front drive shaft stuck

Hey guys, finally getting around to replacing the front transfer case seal on my runner this weekend, as it's been leaking pretty bad for a few months. Took off the four bolts that attach the shaft to the companion flange, removed the pressurized grease fitting so I can "slide" the shaft up and...

    Engine Work Choices

Ugh. You know, I'd really, really like to, especially since $9k puts me pretty close to a high mileage GTO, but at this point in my life I just can't go that route. It would be my third car (I've already got a 2002 WRX that would be stupid, financially speaking, to part with since it just had...

Wow, yeah, definitely better than stock! I went with the 3rd gen runner because it was the last one I could easily find with a manual trans, and it seems like the 4000-4200 pound range is about where you cross over from what I'd call a "light" SUV to a.. Comfy SUV ;)

Awesome! Thanks for all this great data, guys. I was hoping for a resounding push in one direction or another, and it sounds like the SC is the way to go. I'm sure 280-290 HP would feel like plenty. shootmymime, I'll hit you up if I'm heading towards east Idaho any time soon :) There's posts all...
