    2001 E-locker install question

I agree with BigFishAllDay. I wired mine with the factory module, but I grounded the wires for the speed restriction(for simplicity) and 4low wire, so I can lock it anytime(2wd, 4hi, and 4lo). Just have to make sure not to press the button when going above 5mph. I like that the module protects...

    2001 E-locker install question

No its not combatable. You need the one for the Elocker too. www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/68346-i-found-one-2001-sport-ed-trd-scd.html Read the part in BigFishAllDay thread about installing his Elocker. Helped me a ton with mine.

    Fuel in plenum

I dont see or smell any fuel leaks, although my valve covers are pissing oil so they could be hiding it.

    Fuel in plenum

99% sure it was fuel. Clear liquid smelled like gas... I'll check the baffle later tonight. Plenum is still off so fuel rail is easily accessable right now. Thats the reason I would like to figure out the problem now

pcv valve is good. Gunk may be from previous one that i replaced. My main concern is fuel in the plenum. Doesn't seem normal to me.

    Fuel in plenum

Started on replacing valve cover gaskets and timing belt replacement today. When I pulled off the lower plenum, it was seemed very gunked up and had gas almost dripping off of it. The gasket and intake surface were wet. The inside of the intake appears very dirty to me as well. It has also been...

    Power steering hose

I should clarify. I have a new oem rack. It's the high pressure line that I need now.

    Power steering hose

I am replacing a worn rack and pinion on my 97. The pressure line is seized on the old one. I've tried every trick in the book, and the fitting is all but rounded off. Replacing it is my only option now. I am probably going to go with an Edelmann brand aftermarket one. Any reason not to? $250...

Maxtrax vs recovery strap, only purchasing one

For what purpose? Do you go out by yourself or with other people? For emergencies or for wheeling for fun? If for emergencies, I would say a type of both. There are much more affordable traction boards and recovery/tow straps on amazon.
