I am replacing a worn rack and pinion on my 97. The pressure line is seized on the old one. I've tried every trick in the book, and the fitting is all but rounded off. Replacing it is my only option now. I am probably going to go with an Edelmann brand aftermarket one. Any reason not to? $250 for the Toyota is a bit high for me.

I should clarify. I have a new oem rack. It's the high pressure line that I need now.

Someone here reported on how to remove the high pressure line with a 17 mm crow foot wrench.
