The display doesn't turn off when the cruise control is on. Just the moving bar disappears and there's no movement. I come from an era when there was no such thing as a resettable trip odometer, except on some high end cars. The vast majority had a long push button poking out from the gauge...

I'll have to admit that I thought that member xf-bot+t4r was spam as I've not seen that handle until recently :unsure::). Watching over time I see that he/she/bot is apparently legit.

I don't care for the eco bar either, but it's easy to ignore. And it turns off whenever the cruise control is used. Since I live in a very rural area, the cruise control is almost always on.

Carried a number of 8' chain-link fence top rails, sticking out the back window. Use these in extending my chicken pen, across the top, to support chicken wire draped over the top to protect the chickens from raptors.

In my lifetime, I've owned 3, 4 & 5 speed manual transmissions, including "3 on the tree". Along with 2, 3, 4 & 5 speed autos.

I have enjoyed my '18 SR5. It is used in all weather - rain, snow, ice, muddy roads. I use it on my acreage as if it were a pickup truck. I let nature wash it (I focus on the interior) and it was always parked outdoors, until recently when I built a carport, and the paint and headlights still...

Some of us remember the days when pretty much all automatics were two or three speed. We got along just fine.

Do a search using the search feature on this forum. The info is there as it's happened to other members. Some apply to older T4R's, but the process will likely be similar.

Well into my senior years, less aches, pains, health issues, working outdoors in all weather and inability to get up off the ground, having a trusted shop is priceless to me.

A big thank you to whomever fixed the problem!! Now it is back to normal. I still checked daily during the issue, but it was a tedious task to simply check the new posts.

This is crazy! I thought this mess would go away in a short time, but it's been days now. Completely unreadable, sort of like standing inside an Egyptian pyramid and trying to make sense of the hieroglyphics on the walls!
