Yes -- they call those little things the CORE or some guys call them worms . But thanks -- you eased my mind and my wallet.

While putting air in one of my tires, the gas station attendant damaged the TPMS CORE in the VALVE -- NOT THE VALVE ITSELF. Would there be a sensor problem if the little CORE is replaced by itself??? Thanks
